The Director of Marketing is a key position for the audacious company growth of doubling every 2.5 years. It is a senior leadership position directly reporting to the interim VP of Marketing and the CEO, is responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy and leading the marketing team for Aeroseal and all of its markets, products and solution offerings.  This includes overseeing all marketing, communications and advertising activities to end users (e.g., homeowners, building owners, facility managers and developers), contractors, and influencers (e.g., builders, engineers, energy consultants, test-and-balance contractors, utility program managers, and utilities).  The Director of Marketing will ensure consistent, efficient and high-quality execution of all marketing campaigns, lead generation, account-based marketing (ABM) and other activities that are designed to grow the business and support consumers and dealers. 

 

Responsibilities Include

 

Leadership and Direction:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the marketing organization, consisting of 10 marketing and communications specialists, creatives, content developers, and data science analysts.
    • Develop annual marketing communications strategy in conjunction with interim VP of Marketing and Senior Leadership Team.
    • Develop and oversee annual marketing communications budget in conjunction with interim VP of Marketing and Senior Leadership Team.
    • Oversee tactical execution of marketing communications, including: marketing collateral, webinars, trade shows, public relations, and social media engagement.
    • Define metrics to measure marketing performance.
    • Create the conditions to help drive the organization's long-term business growth.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of Aeroseal from a marketing and growth perspective, providing input and advice to the Senior Leadership Team for areas of strategic growth and development of the business.

 

Lead Generation:

  • Work collaboratively to define and execute B2B and D2C sales and marketing action plans to grow dealer base and engage directly with consumers.
  • Work with Business leaders from Residential and AeroBarrier to develop and refine the process of lead generation/lead qualification of dealers to support equipment sales.
  • Define value of dealer at each step of business development cycle to determine maximum level of sales and marketing investment at the lead generation stage through close of sales.
  • Work collaborative to define and execute a Commercial Account Based Marketing strategy, targeting ESCOs (Energy Services Companies) who execute large scale energy solutions for commercial customers (hospitals, universities, institutions, corporate campuses). These efforts should enable the Commercial sales team in their efforts to build and deepen relationships with key accounts, by providing targeted marketing content and support.

 

Dealer Development:

  • Develop initiatives to increase equipment usage.
  • Oversee process for dealers to share best practices.
  • Improve training on how dealers can sell product to their customers.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives based on energy programs/rebate programs.

 

Sales process / lead qualification / lead management:

  • Oversee CRM system Salesforce.com.
  • Support sales through end of sales process.

 

Skills and Requirement:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 12-18 years of experience leading B2B/D2C marketing initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in integrated marketing communications activities, across a range of specialized functions, including creative, digital marketing, brand management, campaign development, advertising, strategic communications and public relations.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging marketing best practices, technologies and digital marketing transformation to enable deeper insights and use of data analytics.
  • Experience hiring, building and managing teams of 8-20 people or more.
  • Experience scaling business.
  • Experience working with senior executives, being part of a senior leadership team and providing executive management and leadership counsel.
  • Experience developing and managing marketing budgets.
  • Ability to work in fasted paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both leadership and functional teams.
  • Ability to influence all levels of organization.
