What You'll Do

As the Business Development Specialist, you will prospect for high potential builders in new markets by networking, lead follow-up, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales while providing the support that will continually improve the relationship. You will also develop, grow, coach and retain accounts, helping to grow the AeroBarrier business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities.
  • Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Build business relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
  • Enhance customer relationships and ensure customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain information on all prospective clients in Salesforce
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Meet all quotas for all activities (cold, active, inactive calls, presentations, appointments, interviews, etc...).
  • Maintain a pipeline of all sales activities using Salesforce software.
  • Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our products, processes, and operations.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the construction industry, building science and remain up to date on industry education and news.


Experience You'll Need to Do It

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, Construction Industry experience a plus
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 3 years of sales/business development experience
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • The ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize projects, manage time, and manage multiple projects at one time
  • A desire for continuous learning.
  • Ability to travel (40-60% of time)
